Accountant

At Paragon Communications, precision meets purpose. Our Finance team is the heartbeat of accountability — ensuring every number tells the truth behind our performance. We’re looking for an Accountant – Overheads & Balance Sheet Accounting who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

• Take ownership of key accounting processes across overheads and balance sheet accounts, ensuring every journal, reconciliation, and report stands up to scrutiny.
• Record and allocate operating expenses across cost centres.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and intercompany recharges for month‑end close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and maintain supporting schedules.
• Partner with AP, AR, and FP&A teams to deliver timely and accurate financial data.
• Support compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Champion process improvements and support ERP data integrity.

What You’ll Bring:

• 1–3 years’ accounting experience in a corporate or shared service environment.
• Strong grasp of double‑entry principles and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Confidence with Excel and ERP systems (Business Central, Oracle, or similar).
• A drive for accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ideally progression toward a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

This is a remote role with ad‑hoc travel for team meetings.

Salary – £40‑45K.
