If you are an experienced Head of Business Development we have a new role we would like to discuss with you. This role will provide leadership, commercial expertise, and stability during a key period of growth and transition.
Please note this role requires onsite attendance in Watford and travel to sites across the UK which will be fully expensed.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of an established business development function, lead a small team, support live opportunities, and drive the successful delivery of major bids and tenders across public and private sector markets.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record of winning and delivering complex bids and tenders.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and financial modelling skills.
- Experience developing bid pricing, revenue models, and cost models.
- Senior leadership experience with the ability to quickly assess, support, and improve an existing function.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working within complex commercial, operational, or service-led environments.
Initial Focus
- Take ownership of the business development function from day one.
- Support and develop the existing team.
- Strengthen commercial and financial modelling capability.
- Ensure effective delivery of live opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.
- Leave the department in a strong position for a future permanent appointment.
