A leading Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist is seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to join its Major Projects team, supporting the delivery of large-scale and technically complex projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile commercial and critical infrastructure developments while developing your technical expertise within a growing and supportive engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the BMS design process from concept through to project delivery
  • Produce point schedules, equipment schedules, network topologies and descriptions of operation
  • Coordinate equipment procurement requirements
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure design deliverables meet programme deadlines
  • Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and MEP designs
  • Provide technical support to project teams and clients
  • Maintain project records, documentation and reports
  • Ensure designs meet project specifications, budgets and quality standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a BMS Design Engineer
  • Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens, Tridium or Distech
  • Good understanding of HVAC, hydraulic, electrical and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and control wiring diagrams
  • Experience with metering and third-party system integration would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required
