The Head of Infrastructure & Cloud will be responsible for leading the firm’s global technology infrastructure strategy, architecture, and operations. This includes overseeing on-premises systems, cloud platforms, networking, storage, security, and disaster recovery. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring low-latency connectivity for trading, high availability for mission-critical systems, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role demands a balance of strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and operational excellence, as well as the ability to partner closely with portfolio managers, developers, and risk teams.
Strategic Leadership

Define and execute the infrastructure and cloud strategy aligned with the firm’s growth, trading requirements, and regulatory environment.

Drive adoption of modern technologies (hybrid cloud, containerisation, automation) to improve scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.

Establish KPIs and SLAs for infrastructure performance, uptime, and security.
Infrastructure & Cloud Management

Oversee the design, implementation, and support of on-premises infrastructure, private cloud, and public cloud platforms (Azure).

Ensure ultra-low latency and high-throughput networking for trading systems, including co-location environments and market connectivity.

Manage enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions with near-zero downtime objectives.
Operational Excellence

Lead a high-performing infrastructure and DevOps team; mentor engineers and ensure career development.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to optimise provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.

Proactively monitor systems to detect, prevent, and resolve issues before they impact trading or operations.
Security & Compliance

Partner with the CISO to ensure all systems meet cybersecurity best practices and comply with FCA and other relevant regulations.
