Summer is a very busy time of year at Chatsworth and you could be part of it by joining us as a Chatsworth Friends Membership Assistant over this busy period.
You will be integral to engaging with our visitors in various locations within our garden, farmyard and wider estate. Encouraging our visitors to upgrade their ticket to Chatsworth Friends membership. This will involve proactively selling membership and providing information about the Chatsworth Friends scheme, member options, benefits and price.
You will also provide face to face support for Chatsworth Friends, helping them make online bookings and use the self-service members’ portal, along with resolving any queries with the support of the wider membership team.
We have the following two work patterns available:
- Role 1: 3 days per week 10am to 5.30 pm per day with a 30 min break
- Role 2: 2 days per week 10am to 5.30pm per day with a 30 minute break
- Role 3: 2 days per week 10am to 5.30pm per day with a 30 minute break
Roles 2 & 3 could be combined for the right candidate with the relevant skills and experience. Please ensure you state clearly in your application which role you are interested in (e.g. Role 1, Role 2, or Role 3). Roles will include a weekend day but there is flexibility regarding which remaining days of the week are worked, however, this work pattern must be the same each week. Flexibility with regard to increased hours to cover holidays and sickness is essential.
This is a fixed-term role which will end week ending 31st August 2025. Rate of pay is £12.21ph for 18yrs+
About you
You must be warm and outgoing, happy to approach people to talk about Friends membership and supporting the Chatsworth House Trust. Previous sales experience, ideally in a direct sales role would be an advantage. Our aim is to always offer the visitor to Chatsworth a level of customer service that exceeds expectations so this role will really suit a friendly personality who thrives working with people and has great communication skills.
