We are looking to recruit a Receptionist, based at The Cavendish Hotel, Baslow, Derbyshire. You will receive discretionary service charge and tips that can increase your pay up to £3000 per annum based on full time hours. You will be working within the prestigious 4AA Red Star Country house.
At the Cavendish Hotel you will often be the first & last person our guests meet, and your exemplary customer care standards will set the tone for the whole of the Hotel, ensuring our guests receive end to end first rate, friendly and efficient service.
Your duties will include:
- Answering telephone calls
- Checking-in and out guests efficiently
- Processing guest administration
- Handling payment transactions
- Answering customer enquiries
- Ensuring public areas are presented to a high standard
You will be an excellent communicator, a very proficient IT user and have previous experience handling administration. Being organized and methodical in your approach to work, you will also be skilled at prioritising your workload to help respond to guest needs as efficiently as possible. Experience of a hotel reservation system (such as Rezlynx or Resdiary), an awareness of industry standards and knowledge of the local area are all desirable attributes.
This is a part-time position 24 hours per week and flexibility is essential to be able to work varied shifts that include weekends, bank holidays, early starts and later finishes; generally 7am to 3.30pm, or 3pm to 11pm.

The right candidate will be professional, customer focused, with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience within a similar role would be desirable. Any formal qualifications such as an apprenticeship or an NVQ would be advantageous.
