We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join Paragon’s Technology team. As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be taking ownership of the design, security, and performance of their network infrastructure. This is a senior, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across complex enterprise environments, providing 3rd line support, and mentoring junior engineers. The role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to Paragon sites. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Main Responsibilities:
- Designing, maintaining, and securing Paragon’s global network infrastructure
- Ensuring network reliability, performance, and security, while supporting operational teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, Wi-Fi and cloud-based networks
- Support and secure network boundaries including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and threat prevention
- Provide 3rd line support, escalation management, and on-call incident cover
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity
- Maintain and configure network devices in line with best practice and security controls
- Support automation, patching, updates, and change management activities
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation
- Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
- Participate in out-of-hours and on-call support when required
- Travel to Paragon or client sites when necessary
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Senior Network Engineer
- CCNP certification (CCIE/CCDP desirable)
- Strong experience with enterprise networking and security technologies
- Background in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto essential; others beneficial)
- Comfortable working across datacentre, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
