We’re looking for a hands-on, qualified Statutory & Compliance Accountant to support our Divisional Reporting Accountant during a busy period of backlog reduction and change. This is a delivery-focused contract for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and seeing real progress.
You’ll play a key role in clearing statutory and audit backlogs across our international entities, while supporting the transition of outsourced accounting and compliance to BDO. If you come from practice, enjoy working with auditors, and like bringing order to complexity — this one’s for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Hands-on support of the statutory accounts and compliance cycle across multiple international entities
- Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating statutory accounts and audit deliverables
- Supporting group and local audits, liaising with BDO and local auditors
- Assisting with corporation tax filings and responding to ad-hoc tax and audit queries
- Maintaining clear trackers for statutory deadlines, audits, and filings
- Supporting the transition of entities from multiple local accountants to BDO
- Helping standardise and simplify statutory processes and documentation
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required — this is a practical, sleeves-up role
What we’re looking for:
- Finalist or Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent preferred)
- Statutory accounting experience, ideally within a group or international environment
- Proven experience producing statutory accounts and supporting audits
- Solid understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable working with external auditors and outsourced providers
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Confident, organised, and delivery-focused
The details:
- 12-month fixed term contract
- 1–2 days per week hybrid presence in our Leeds office (possibly reducing after settling in period)
- Ideal for someone who enjoys focused, high-impact work during a period of change
If you like getting stuck in, bringing structure to statutory processes, and making tangible progress — we’d love to hear from you.
