We are looking for a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to join one of our Paragon Customer Communications manufacturing sites based in Norwich. The site specialises in the production of outbound and inbound document services, featuring printing, mailing, and warehousing capabilities for outbound mail and postal receipts, as well as scanning and document storage for inbound mail.
As the Warehouse Operator, your role will involve:
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
- Moving stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays
- Following stock control instructions
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Performing daily equipment checks
- Performing other warehouse tasks like picking stock and moving it to the appropriate location on the factory floor
- Dealing with stock returns
Main Responsibilities:
- Collect full bins, which can range up to 660L-sized bins and moving these to our goods yard to dispose of
- Disposing of waste can include baling shredded paper waste or compacting
- Adhere to all defined standards and processes with an SLA focus
- Ensure issues are escalated promptly and accurately to the Line Manager
- Take appropriate responsibility for maintaining health & safety standards in the team
- Maintain accurate MI records for audit and review purposes
Required Skills:
- Forklift Licence required
- Self-motivated, organised and customer-focused
- Effective Communicator and Delegator with a logical approach
- Team Player but able to work on own initiative
- Committed with experience of working to tight deadlines
- IT Literate & competent in the use of MS Excel
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22 Kg
- Lifting operations and physical exercises for the course of every shift is 70%
- PC operations and exercises for the course of every shift is 30%
