We have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Paragon Customer Communications site in Dagenham. Working within the Warehouse Operations, supporting all aspects covered by the department. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the production of outbound and inbound document services.

As a Warehouse Operative, your main duties would include:

  • Loading and unloading goods
  • Moving stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays
  • Following stock control instructions
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Stacking empty pallets
  • Performing daily equipment checks
  • Performing other warehouse tasks like picking stock and moving it to the appropriate location on factory floor
  • Dealing with stock returns

Forklift Licence Desired (VNA Driver desired). This is a permanent role and works on an annualised hour shift pattern. 42 Hour week - DAYS SHIFT PATTERN - 6am - 6pm (Weekend rotation required) 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on 3 days off, 3 days on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all defined standards and processes with an SLA focus
  • Ensure any issues are escalated in timely manner and accurately to the Line Manager
  • Follow direction from the warehouse supervisor and perform any other duties as required
  • Ensure all stock is accurately handled according to task specifics, report any damaged or missing stock
  • General tidying and cleaning of the warehouse
  • Take appropriate responsibility for maintaining health & safety standards in the team

  • Self-motivated, organised and customer focused with a willingness to learn
  • Effective communicator with a logical and resilient approach
  • Team Player but able to work on own initiative
  • Committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines within a fast paced environment
  • IT Literate & competent in the use of MS Excel
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22KG
  • Warehouse / Production experience required
