We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Operative to join the facilities team based at our Paragon Customer Communications site in Lancing. We are seeking an experienced and committed Cleaner, on a part-time basis, to be responsible for ensuring a high level service is provided to create a clean and safe environment for all employees across the office.

Hours: Part-time, 12.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 4pm - 6:30pm

Salary: £8,264 per annum

This is a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • General office cleaning – cleaning desks, vacuuming, emptying bins (general / recyclables / food waste).
  • Replenish consumables as required.
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Clean kitchens/break rooms: counters, sinks, appliances.
  • Empty bins; replace liners.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Ensure walkways and emergency exits are clear and safe.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely.
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management.
  • Adhere to company safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitoring of stock levels.
Skills and Attributes we are looking for
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • As this is a physical job, this does include manual handling, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Be reliable & responsible with a flexible approach to work.
  • Basic computer skills required for online training.
