We are looking for an experienced Envelope Printer with hands-on HALM press experience to join Paragon's production team, based in Castleford, West Yorkshire. This is a permanent full-time site-based role, working 37.5 hours per week, shifts 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm (Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain HALM envelope printing machines
- Read and interpret job specifications, artwork, and production instructions
- Ensure print quality meets required standards, including registration, colour consistency, and alignment
- Carry out routine machine checks, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
- Monitor production runs to minimise waste and downtime
- Load materials (envelopes, inks, plates, etc.) and manage stock usage
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
- Record production data accurately (output, waste, downtime, etc.)
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines
- Follow all health & safety, quality, and site procedures at all times
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating HALM envelope printing machines
- Background in envelope or commercial print production
- Strong understanding of print quality standards and colour control
- Ability to carry out machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable working to production targets and deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Health & Safety - follow safety working practices at all times
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/factory environment
- Manual handling is involved
