Eligibility Criteria
- Be a competent Firefighter
- Completed an Integrated Communications System (ICS) course or pre-incident command review
- Have good leadership skills
- Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions
- Discussed the opportunity with your Line Manager
- Live or work within a 5 minute response to the Station
- Whilst it is desirable, it is not essential to have attended a Leading Others Assessment Centre
From 1 April 2024, we are introducing development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting-up role. These pay rates are set out by the National Joint Council.
