Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are looking for a Service Delivery Support Administration Assistant to join our team, working part time (22.2 hours per week – equates to 3 days – working days are currently flexible and to be agreed with hiring manager) on a permanent contract based at our Service Training Centre in Plympton. The Salary is competitive, starting at £26,824 rising annually to £28,598 (gross) per annum pro rata. For working 22.2 hours per week this equates to £16,094 - £17,158 (gross) per annum.
As the largest non-metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, we protect communities across Devon and Somerset through prevention, protection and emergency response. You will play a vital part in supporting our Service Delivery teams (Protection, Response and Training), providing high quality administrative and business support to keep operations running efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across Service Delivery teams
- Manage enquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain spreadsheets, databases and performance reports
- Support meetings (scheduling, resources, documentation and tech support)
- Assist with stock control, ordering and financial processes (including procurement cards)
- Update communication channels such as MS Teams
- Support operational teams and departmental projects
- Help monitor returns, inventories and reporting processes
