The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Applications are invited from existing suitably experienced and qualified Firefighters and Crew Managers. Eligible applicants will need to meet the following criteria as a minimum:

  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Be a competent Firefighter
  • Completed ICT course or pre‐incident command review
  • Have good leadership skills
  • Not subject to formal performance improvement actions, nor have any live disciplinary sanctions
  • Discussed the opportunity with your Line Manager
  • Live or work within a 5‐minute response to the Station
  • While it is desirable, it is not essential to have attended a Leading Others Assessment Centre

From 1 April 2024, we are introducing development rates of pay for any new individuals moving into a development or an acting‐up role. These pay rates are set out by the National Joint Council. If you are interested in this position, you will need to complete the application form via the link below which will include a personal impact statement. The personal impact statement relates to each of the four quadrants of the NFFC Leadership Framework as well as operational and professional expertise. Your impact statement should focus on demonstrating your impact at "Leading Others" level.
