Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry *ERP*
The role involves overseeing care for up to 16 patients in a mixed-gender adult psychiatric ward, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and acting as Responsible Clinician for both informal and Mental Health Act detained patients.
- Job Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and treat patients informally and under the Mental Health Act as Responsible Clinician.
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient‑centred care flow.
- Participate in on‑call rota and provide cross‑cover for colleagues.
- Engage in 2.5 hours of supporting programmed activities weekly, including research, quality improvement and service development, alongside peer meetings and postgraduate events.

Experience
- Prior experience working in a Community Mental Health Team.
