We are looking to recruit a part time Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (22.5 hours / 3 days per week) into the Outer Exeter TALKWORKS service. We are a large and high performing NHS Talking Therapies Service, with strong fidelity to the treatment and service model. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who has commitment to our local services here in Devon. The team covers the Outer Exeter and NEXUS PCN geographical area and we strive to maintain a strong and healthy team culture. We welcome applications from positive and motivated individuals who are able to contribute to this and have a keen interest in developing their existing CBT skills with anxiety and depression. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in leadership skills and work within a service delivering evidence based, low intensity treatment for people with common mental health difficulties. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
Main duties of the job:
- The post holder will work alongside the leadership team within Outer Exeter TALKWORKS to support the PWP workforce, including trainee PWP, to carry out their job role and responsibilities, including line managerial and supervisory responsibilities.
- Ensuring fidelity to the IAPT manual and adherence to NHS Talking therapies KPIs.
- To maintain PWP registration and continuing professional development, the post holder will be required to hold a caseload of step 2 appropriate patients.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications Essential: Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or Level 3 undergraduate course) or recognised PWP top up training. Risk Management Training. IT skills. Registration with either the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) or British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Desirable: Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or within a psychological therapy. Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree.
- Experience Essential: Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem. Experience of working in Primary Care Services. Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes. Ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own personal and professional development and in supervision. Experience of conducting regular PWP Case Management Supervision (or an equivalent form of supervision in another clinical role).
- Desirable: Evidence of working in the local community. Evidence of line management responsibilities.
