We are seeking to appoint an experienced health and safety professional to work as an integral member of a busy, supportive, and established team. The role will be based in Exeter; however, flexible working and some remote work are encouraged. The position requires travel throughout Devon to various teams and establishments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and review and implement a wide range of health and safety policies and guidance.
- Interpret legislation and guidance to provide appropriate advice to services and establishments.
- Develop and deliver in-house and externally accredited training, both face-to-face and remotely, to diverse audiences.
- Carry out significant accident investigations.
- Manage premise H&S issues, including asbestos and legionella, across multi-site organizations, including educational establishments.
- Engage with individuals and groups across all levels of the organization, including meetings with Directors and management teams.
Minimum Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification, with CMIOSH or actively working towards it.
- Post-qualification experience and good knowledge of current H&S legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of Office 365.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with premise H&S issues, including asbestos and legionella.
- Experience in educational settings.
