As part of the role, you'll also be supported to develop your skills and knowledge through a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative qualification at Bicton College.

Responsibilities:

  • Grass cutting
  • Hedge trimming
  • Sports pitch maintenance
  • Weeding
  • Planting
  • All other aspects of grounds maintenance
  • Assisting the Ranger team to undertake nature conservation work at the Council's Local Nature Reserves and Northam Burrows Country Park
  • Scrub clearance
  • Tree weeding
  • Coppicing
  • Tree planting
  • Meadow cutting
  • Green hay
  • Fencing and other duties aimed at improving biodiversity on these sites
