- Grass cutting
- Hedge trimming
- Sports pitch maintenance
- Weeding
- Planting
- All other aspects of grounds maintenance
- Assisting the Ranger team to undertake nature conservation work at the Council's Local Nature Reserves and Northam Burrows Country Park
- Scrub clearance
- Tree weeding
- Coppicing
- Tree planting
- Meadow cutting
- Green hay
- Fencing and other duties aimed at improving biodiversity on these sites
