We are looking for Early Years Apprentices to join our dedicated team in North Devon, Devon.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all tasks and learning related to the EYFS apprenticeship qualification.
  • Observe the class teacher and EYFS lead practitioner to gain understanding of best practice in teaching and learning.
  • Undertake small group and individual learning tasks under the direction of the class teacher and EYFS lead practitioner.
  • Make observations of children's learning to upload on their digital learning journal.
  • Attend to the intimate care of children, changing nappies and supporting self-care in toileting.
  • Contribute to formative assessment through discussion and feedback with the class teacher and EYFS lead practitioner.
  • Supervise and support children at lunchtime to safely eat and enhance self-feeding skills.
  • Administer First Aid to children across the EYFS as required (having received PFA training).
  • Monitor and create learning opportunities in the classroom environment under the direction of the class teacher and EYFS lead practitioner, ensuring the environment is safe and engaging for the children.

Position Details

  • Location: North Devon, Devon
  • Terms: Multiple Terms
  • Salary: NJC Grade A3 – £24,796 FTE (pro-rated to reflect hours and weeks worked)
  • Working pattern: Two fixed-term positions, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year until 31 August 2028 (24 months, Monday to Friday).
  • Apprentices will be enrolled in an accredited apprenticeship provider programme that will lead to qualification in Early Years and Foundation Stage Education.
