We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Support Worker to work at our youth centre in Exmouth & Ottery. The work will be part-time, permanent, 7 hours per week, and will include working 2 evenings per week and occasional weekends. Join a team of youth workers delivering high quality youth work. Training and support will be provided for new skills. We are recruiting for a candidate with a passion to work with young people and help them to unlock their potential. The role is fun, challenging and rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting youth work in a variety of settings.
  • Being collaborative and a team player.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of the youth work curriculum and programmes.
  • Planning, evaluating and evidencing youth work.
  • Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people.

Location: East Devon, Devon.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • JNC: unqualified scale pt 5-6 (£25,580.00 – £25,919.00), qualified scale pt 7-10 (£26,225.00 – £28,516.00) pro-rated.
  • Annual leave: 6 weeks for the first 5 years, then 7 weeks (pro-rata for part-time roles).
  • Additional 3 statutory days between Christmas and New Year plus bank holidays.
  • Pension contributions starting at 6% rising to 8% in the third year.
