Location: Ivybridge (Ivybridge base, working across Ivybridge and Tavistock area). We do not sponsor Visas for this post. UK Right to Work is required.

We are looking for registered Health Visitors who are innovative, motivated, and enthusiastic, seeking to make a real difference improving outcomes for children and families in Devon!

Main duties of the job:

  • Deliver an excellent service to the children, young people, and families living in our Community.
  • Work within corporate teams and be rostered to work in our duty hub covering a defined geographical area.
  • Lead and manage changing and challenging workload priorities.
  • Work in close partnership with community, voluntary, and statutory agencies; multi-agency working and safeguarding children will be an integral part of your role.
  • Support the Better Births agenda in collaboration with local midwifery services.
  • Focus on a strong public health approach and innovative thinking in health visiting.

Please note that an active driver's licence and access to a car are required for this post.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Degree – Health Visitor / School Nurse Qualification at Masters level.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
