We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, delivering high-quality learning experiences across the school. This role involves supervising whole classes during teacher absence and delivering pre-planned lessons, including PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover. This is a fixed term position until August 31st 2027.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to groups and/or whole classes during staff absence or PPA time
- Ensure a positive and purposeful learning environment is maintained
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils to engage with learning and complete set work
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
- Be flexible and adaptable across different year groups and subjects
Qualifications
- Experience of working with children, particularly at whole-class level, and a desire to develop teaching practice in a supportive environment
- Experience with whole-class delivery
- Confident in managing a classroom independently
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil learning
