We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, delivering high-quality learning experiences across the school. This role involves supervising whole classes during teacher absence and delivering pre-planned lessons, including PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover. This is a fixed term position until August 31st 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to groups and/or whole classes during staff absence or PPA time
  • Ensure a positive and purposeful learning environment is maintained
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support pupils to engage with learning and complete set work
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
  • Be flexible and adaptable across different year groups and subjects

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children, particularly at whole-class level, and a desire to develop teaching practice in a supportive environment
  • Experience with whole-class delivery
  • Confident in managing a classroom independently
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil learning
