We are seeking a part‑time teacher to work two days a week as part of a job share alongside an outstanding teacher.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- Plan and deliver a sequence of learning to Post 16 and Post 19 students.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards within the Academy.
- Be a positive role model and consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviours expected of students.
- Build good working relationships with the whole team and identify opportunities for collaboration and sharing effective practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of planning and delivering successful teaching that improves outcomes for learners with additional needs.
- Experience of providing effective support for learners with complex needs is desirable.
- Ability to form and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within the Academy and other professionals.
Additional Requirements
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to ensure best outcomes for students.
- An enhanced DBS check is required.
- The Academy is a Disability Committed Employer promoting diversity and inclusion for all students and staff, and is signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant to support ex‑service personnel.
- Prior experience of BSL is not essential but favoured.
