Barley Lane is a vibrant special school, supporting pupils from Year 3 to Year 11 with a range of complex needs, including SEMH.

We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to commence employment as soon as possible in the busy school kitchen. You will be required to work as part of a small team to assist in the preparation of food and the service of food and drinks to staff and pupils within the school. You will also maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining room and food service areas. You will need to be flexible, able to work under pressure and sometimes in a challenging environment. You will be required to attend training when required or as appropriate.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work alongside our team, to promote an alternative child‑centred approach to meeting the needs of our pupils who have been identified as having complex needs.

Previous experience is desirable but most importantly, that you share our values; Hard work, humility, kindness, friendship and optimism.
