Salary Information: Starts at £36,630 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £40,893 per annum. The above salary is based on a full time (37 hour) salary. If you are successful in a part time role this will be pro-rata'd to reflect your working hours.
Please note: Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.
Part/Full Time: Part Time (18.5 hours)
We welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
The starting salary for 18.5 hours per week is £18,315 per annum (pro rata £36,630 per annum).
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in the reopening of front desks across Devon & Cornwall. You will be required to cover Newton Abbot, Torquay and Kingsbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Police Enquiry Officers (Front Counter Team), ensuring the highest quality service is provided for all visitors to our Police Enquiry Offices.
- Ensure that PEOs are fully embedded into the Local Policing Team, providing adequate support and appropriate training.
- Manage shift rotas and annual leave allocation to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all locations.
- Undertake functions of the PEO during periods of high demand or staffing emergencies.
- Provide professional expertise, guidance, and support to PEOs, helping them develop their knowledge and skills.
- Promote a supportive and empathetic response to victims, witnesses, and other visitors.
These posts may cover additional sites and many require frequent travel.
