Salary: Other Band 7 – Agenda for Change Scale. The starting salary will be within the Scale starting at £47,172, with increments at 2 and 5 years reaching up to £53,980, plus a market supplement.

Role Overview: We are inviting applications for the position of Senior Force Nursing Advisor with Dorset Police, based at either Police Headquarters in Exeter or Winfrith, Dorset. The Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Policing Alliance seeks a Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health (SCPHN) to deliver comprehensive Occupational Health services. The successful candidate will be a senior team member providing high-quality, evidence-based clinical advice to managers, staff, and officers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing physical and psychological fitness for work
  • Offering health and wellbeing guidance
  • Supporting internal and external stakeholders

The role involves deputising for the Occupational Health Nurse Consultant and potentially the Lead Occupational Health Nurse Consultant, demonstrating high standards of clinical care, and providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision within the team.
