Salary: £27,204 rising to £29,859 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension

Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

About the role:

The principal responsibility of the Resource Management Planner is to deliver effective resource plans for operational policing to meet the complex needs of a variety of business areas. In particular to:

  • Maintain staffing levels for day-to-day policing activities, and for planned/spontaneous operations, to ensure there are sufficient staff on duty at the appropriate locations to meet the predicted demand and, where appropriate, public expectations.
  • Address, report and, if necessary, escalate any shortfalls in staffing levels.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs), strategic threat and risk assessments (STRAs) or any other agreed staffing levels.
  • Accurately record data in appropriate Force IT Systems to enable the production of effective resource plans.
  • Act as first point of contact for resource management enquiries, providing a professional, courteous service when dealing with requests, issues and complaints received in the Resource Management team.
