Location: Hybrid Working/Devon and Cornwall Police HQ Exeter, Devon
Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
About the role
The principal responsibility of the Regional Forensics Performance Manager is to lead on SWF performance management and business analysis. Additionally, the holder is responsible for line management of the Training, Systems Support, Business Support and Performance capabilities within the Business Support Team.
Key responsibilities
- Performance management; business analysis and planning; risk management; the management of information; and process management/redesign to improve efficiency and target setting.
- Leading in the shaping, development, implementation and management of effective performance management and business analysis frameworks and supporting business change and innovation across SWF Services.
- Carry out intensive research and deep analysis to provide high quality, accurate, relevant and timely information.
- Evaluate multiple data sources and use various analytical techniques to provide an independent performance assessment of the business area.
- To provide comprehensive, accurate, relevant and timely reports.
- Collating, analysing and presenting management information to the Business Support Manager, senior managers, Heads of South West Forensic Services and Chief Officers.
- Providing effective leadership and line management support to the Training, Systems Support, Performance and Business Support capabilities within the Business Support Team.
- Deputising for the Business Support Manager and representing the team at regional and national meetings as required.
This list of duties is not restrictive or exhaustive and the post-holder may be required to carry out duties from time to time that are either commensurate with or lower than the grade of the post. In some posts this might include the ad-hoc provision of guidance and informal training of new colleagues.
