Salary £30,333 rising to £32,613 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension

Location: Bodmin, Truro

Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week.

Pay and Allowances: This role attracts 7.50% Shift Allowance, Weekend Working Payment (claimable once necessary training has been completed and the full shift pattern is being worked).

About the role: Join our firearms licensing team - make a real difference in your community. This is a vital role where you will support the effective control of firearms and ammunition, helping to ensure public safety and compliance with legislation. You will conduct visits to applicants’ premises to assess security, carry out suitability reviews, and make risk‑based recommendations. Your role will involve working directly with the public, as well as collaborating closely with police colleagues and other public service partners. No previous experience in firearms licensing is required as full training will be provided. Your role will be much more varied than a purely administrative position; IT skills are essential.
