Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
About the role:
The principal responsibility of the Contingency, Operations & Events Planner is to support the Force and the community it serves by:
- Researching, coordinating, preparing, distributing, exercising, reviewing, and updating all key operational, business continuity and emergency planning requirements on behalf of Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police.
- Working in Safety Advisory Groups with key partners and stakeholders to provide appropriate advice and ensure the efficient and effective use of police resources within core responsibilities.
- Identifying and managing operational threats and risks, ensuring the appointment of appropriate command structures.
- Maintaining a calendar of force-wide events and operations to facilitate resource demand planning.
