At de VOL, we design and make beautiful kitchens with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive, and personable Design Coordinator to join our team at our Bond Street showroom in New York.

As the first point of contact for our customers, this role is key to the smooth running of our design service, from a customer's initial enquiry through to the start of their kitchen project.

Working closely with an experienced team of designers, you'll be responsible for coordinating appointments, preparing and sending estimates, collecting key project information, supporting the smooth running of the showroom and day-to-day operations, and liaising with our UK-based teams to ensure projects progress seamlessly.

We are looking for someone who is confident in communicating with customers, highly organised, and able to manage a high workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

There will also be an element of office-based administrative support, including ensuring the office is well stocked with supplies.

Reporting to the Showroom Manager and the US Sales Director, you'll play an important role in helping keep the showroom and design service running efficiently and ensuring customers receive the high end experience that de VOL is known for.

The role will include, but is not limited to

  • Coordinating customer appointments and acting as the main point of contact between customers and the design team throughout the early stages of each project.
  • Guiding customers through the de VOL design process, and discussing our different furniture styles, products and offerings.
  • Preparing initial budget estimates to help customers understand anticipated project costs.
  • Preparing customer folders, paperwork, estimated project costs, and collecting key project information to support the designers preparation ahead of design meetings.
  • Collecting design fees where applicable, and ensuring all project information is collected before design work begins.
  • Responding to customer enquiries by email, telephone, and in person, providing the best level of customer service at every stage.
  • Welcoming customers to the showroom, conducting showroom tours, and confidently presenting de VOL furniture, accessories, and discussing our design services.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, monitoring enquiries and customer conversions, and ensuring project information is kept up to date.
  • Monitoring office supplies and samples, ensuring everything is well organised and stock levels are well maintained.
  • Working closely with colleagues in both New York and the UK to ensure projects run as smoothly as possible.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the showroom by helping the team keep customer areas, offices, and the staff kitchen organised, well stocked, and presented to the highest standard.

We would like you to have

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in coordination, admin, logistics, ideally within a customer-facing environment.
  • An ability to confidently use Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar alternatives (Google Sheets etc).
  • A team player who’s reliable and enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with good attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • An open, personable, friendly approach and confidence when meeting customers. Any previous customer facing experience would be looked at favourably.
  • An interest in interior or kitchen design is a plus

This is a full-time role, based at our Bond Street Showroom.

Compensation for the right candidate will start at $70,000 per year.
