Chambers is seeking to recruit an Assistant Practice Manager. The position involves general clerking and administration duties on behalf of an appointed team of barristers, working closely with a Practice Manager, and Deputy Practice Manager.

On a day to day basis, the role will involve advising solicitors on the availability of counsel, diary management, fee negotiation, liaising with court staff to obtain listings and to fix hearing dates, logging receipt of papers and arranging conferences.

The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of their appointed team of barristers, liaising on a regular basis with clerking colleagues, reporting to their Practice Manager and working closely with all members and support staff.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 GSCE's at Grades 5-9 (or equivalent), excellent interpersonal skills, a focused and proactive approach and should be articulate and client friendly. Previous experience, in Chambers/other professional services environment would be beneficial.
