The pay for this position starts at $19.53/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $22.76/hour.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm – perfect for caregivers!

This position is located in Rutland, MA.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health – Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based in Rutland, MA, The Devereux Day school serves individuals age 6 through 21 who present with issues such as disruptive behaviors, mood/anxiety disorders, complex trauma, or abuse-reactive behaviors. You could be a part of an exceptional team of staff who support the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social-emotional skills. Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!

As a Direct Support/Care Professional, You Will

  • Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
  • Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision .
  • Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
  • Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
  • Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
  • Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver\’s license required.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor\’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
  • Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
