Our client is an award-winning residential developer renowned for building high-quality, unique projects in London and surrounding areas. They are seeking an experienced, diligent Site Manager to join on an ongoing freelance basis, with a proven background in managing heritage projects and Grade II listed buildings. You will be responsible for the preservation and fit-out of a historic building within a large new build development near Enfield.
This role requires a proactive approach, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. It could last until December, with potential for extension depending on company growth.
As the Site Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Senior Directors to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of the project between the design team and on-site subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Anticipate potential risks and issues related to budgets and costs.
- Plan and sequence work weeks in advance to mitigate risks concerning labour, equipment, materials, and resources.
- Proactively schedule and conduct meetings with Directors and relevant team members weekly, documenting and distributing meeting minutes.
- Prepare and produce regular reports and updates, including work schedules/programs, deviations, and other risk-related items.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for internal systems and workflows.
