Position Overview

We’re working with a prestigious, design‑led contractor in South Birmingham, known for delivering bespoke luxury residential and commercial schemes. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and tracking project costs throughout the build
  • Preparing valuations, cost reports, and overseeing payment processes
  • Producing tender documentation, cost plans, BoQs, and schedules of work
  • Leading cost forecasting and monthly commercial reporting
  • Procuring subcontractors and managing contracts and final accounts
  • Working closely with site and project teams to monitor progress and variations
  • Ensuring contractual compliance and supporting any dispute resolution

Qualifications

  • Proven QS experience with a main contractor
  • Strong commercial management of live construction projects
  • Knowledge of JCT and bespoke contract forms
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within high‑end residential or luxury commercial projects is advantageous
