The Opportunity

We are working with a growing, family run estate agency operating across North and East London. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint an Office Administrator / Admin Progressor to strengthen the team and take greater ownership of the administrative side of the lettings process. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a close knit business where their contribution will genuinely make a difference. The Role

Reporting to the Lettings Director, you'll play an important role in keeping the lettings process organised and moving forward from the point a let is agreed through to move in. You'll take responsibility for a varied mix of administration, coordination and progression, working closely with the Lettings, Sales, Property Management and Finance teams to make sure information, documentation and compliance requirements are all dealt with efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Progressing agreed lets through referencing, Right to Rent checks, tenancy agreements, deposits and ultimately move in
  • Preparing and issuing tenancy and other relevant documentation
  • Coordinating referencing, AML and compliance requirements
  • Managing deposit registration and protection
  • Arranging inventories, check-ins, check-outs and cleaning
  • Liaising with landlords, tenants, councils, contractors and other third parties
  • Keeping property and tenancy records accurate and up to date
  • Supporting renewals, move outs and general tenancy administration
  • Assisting with sales administration and completion processes where required
  • Supporting smooth handovers between Lettings, Sales and Property Management
  • Providing general office administration and helping the wider team wherever needed

The role will initially be fully office based while you learn the business and systems, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week once you're established in the role.

About You

We're particularly interested in people who bring the right personality, attitude and character as well as relevant experience. Previous experience within residential property would be preferred, particularly in lettings, property administration or a similar role. However, we're open to candidates who can demonstrate strong organisational skills, excellent communication and a genuine interest in developing within the property industry.
