We are working with an established mixed-use developer in West London who is seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced H&S professional to take ownership of health and safety across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes in one of London's most dynamic development areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety strategy across multiple mixed-use developments
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ensure CDM 2015 compliance and manage Principal Designer/Principal Contractor appointments
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and construction phase plans
- Chair health and safety meetings and produce comprehensive reports
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and inductions to site teams
- Liaise with HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
- Provide H&S input during design stages to mitigate risks early
Essential Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) - minimum NEBOSH General Certificate
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager or Advisor in construction
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
- Experience working across mixed-use, residential, or commercial developments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong site presence
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- IOSH or IIRSM membership
- Experience working for a developer or main contractor
- Knowledge of Building Safety Act and BSR requirements
- First Aid at Work qualification
