Overview

As an Assistant Property Manager for a PBSA operator, you help drive a great resident experience while supporting occupancy, operations and compliance on site. You work closely with the Property Manager to deliver excellent service, manage day-to-day property activities, and contribute to team development. The role combines customer care, sales support and operational oversight to support growth and resident satisfaction. This is a hands-on opportunity in a growing PBSA environment with clear progression paths and on-site impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to students, prospective residents, contractors and visitors
  • Serve as a main contact for resident queries and complaints and resolve issues promptly
  • Organise resident events to foster community and engagement
  • Support sales and leasing efforts to maximise occupancy; conduct property viewings and maintain presentation standards
  • Assist with arrears management, record-keeping in property management systems, and financial administration
  • Support day-to-day PBSA operations, maintenance coordination and contractor oversight
  • Assist with compliance, safety inspections, and coordination with facilities team
  • Deputise for Property Manager, support recruitment, onboarding and team development
  • Help manage rotas and ensure adequate building cover
  • Contribute to team meetings and process improvements

Key requirements

  • PBSA or residential property experience
  • Strong customer service background
  • Experience with sales, occupancy targets or commercial goals
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive and solution-focused
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays on a rota
