General ManagerLocation: Dagenham, East LondonReports to: Regional Head of OperationsHours: 40 hours per week on a rota basisSalary70,000 + BonusDescriptionMy client, a fast-growing UK residential investment management business, is looking for a General Manager to lead the onsite team at a build to rent development in Dagenham.You will take full ownership of the scheme, overseeing lettings, property management, customer service, facilities and health and safety. Key responsibilities include:Managing the operating budget, rent collection, arrears and ancillary income, and reporting on financial performanceLeading, recruiting and developing the onsite teamDriving occupancy, rental growth and resident satisfactionEnsuring the building is maintained to a high standard and all statutory compliance is metBuilding a strong resident community through events and local partnershipsLeading ESG and social value initiativesAbout YouAt least 3 years in a leadership role within build to rent or a similar residential sector (hospitality, PBSA, serviced apartments)Strong commercial awareness and experience managing P&LA genuine customer service focus and the confidence to lead a motivated teamPropertymark, IRPM Level 3 or IOSH qualifications are desirableBased within 30 minutes' drive of the scheme and able to cover on-call duties
