Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 + Package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer on a flagship, multi-phase residential scheme in North West London.
This is a rare chance to take commercial ownership of a major development comprising almost 400 residential units across multiple high-value phases, with a combined project value in excess of £200 million.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery of the project, managing all commercial activities from procurement through to final account. You'll also be responsible for leading and mentoring the commercial team while working closely with senior operational management to ensure the successful delivery of this landmark scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of a large-scale residential development.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and cost control.
- Prepare and manage valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Produce accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
- Manage commercial risk and maximise project profitability.
- Lead and develop the commercial team.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and supply chain partners.
About You
To be considered, you'll have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor delivering large, complex residential developments.
- A background working for either a main contractor or residential developer/housebuilder.
- Experience on high-value schemes involving:
- RC frame construction
- Basement works
- Multi-block residential developments
- Buildings up to nine storeys
- Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to lead a business-critical project.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Please note that this opportunity requires someone who has genuinely led major projects. Candidates whose recent experience has been limited to smaller schemes are unlikely to be suitable.
