Estimator - Main ContractorLondon | Permanent | 50,000-90,000 DOE | Career Progression A growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its commercial/pre-construction team on a long-term basis. You'll be joining a busy team with a strong pipeline of work and will have the opportunity to take responsibility for multiple tenders at different stages. The role will typically involve managing around 3-4 live tenders at any one time, working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams to develop competitive and commercially sound bids.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and pricing live tenders from enquiry through to submissionTaking ownership of multiple tenders simultaneouslyPreparing detailed and accurate estimatesReviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentationObtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotationsWorking closely with commercial and operational teamsIdentifying risks, opportunities and commercial considerationsMaintaining accurate estimating spreadsheets and cost plansSupporting the wider pre-construction processBuilding strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers They are open to candidates from Intermediate Estimator through to Senior Estimator level, with the ideal candidate likely to have around 5 years+ experience within the construction industry. You'll ideally have:Strong estimating experience within a main contracting environmentExperience working on live tendersExcellent Excel and spreadsheet skillsStrong commercial awarenessThe ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlinesConfidence working independently and taking ownershipStrong attention to detailGood communication and negotiation skillsAmbition to progress within a growing businessSalary & Progression 50,000-90,000 depending on level and experience.
