Senior Building Surveyor / Project Director
Base pay: £80,000 – £100,000
Overview
We’re partnering with a leading UK real estate investment and development business to hire a Senior Building Surveyor / Project Director to join their established in-house Surveying and Project Management Team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a strong pipeline of commercial projects, delivering best-in-class refurbishments across landmark office spaces.

- London – Cat A Office Refurbishment & Reception Upgrade | 25,000 sq. ft | £2.5m
- Hampshire – Full VRF Install & End-of-Journey Facilities | 85,000 sq. ft | £5.0m
Responsibilities
- Leading large-scale commercial refurbishments from inception to handover
- Providing technical building advice, including on tenant alterations, repair strategies, and dilapidation\’s
- Advising on acquisition due diligence and capex planning
- Managing external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Overseeing design development, tendering, contract administration, and financial control
- Ensuring projects meet sustainability, compliance, and performance targets
- Driving project delivery with a focus on quality, budget, and time line
Qualifications
- MRICS-qualified (or equivalent) Building Surveyor
- Proven experience delivering commercial property refurbishments
- Strong project leadership skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Capable of juggling multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Cat A and Cat B fit-outs, services upgrades, and heritage or listed buildings (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
