We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a student accommodation provider, for a reliable Handyman/Maintenance Operative to cover their site part-time.

You'll be the go-to for day-to-day repairs and site upkeep, with cover weighted towards the start and end of the week when students are most likely to report issues.

What you'll be doing:

  • General repairs and maintenance jobs as directed
  • Daily shift checks: plant rooms, fire exits, fire panels, emergency lighting, storage areas, bin stores, building security
  • Supervising contractors on-site during visits and call-outs
  • Keeping the site safe, tidy and compliant with H&S standards
  • Delivering great customer service to residents, guests and contractors

What we're looking for:

  • Handyman/maintenance/facilities experience (preferred)
  • Practical, hands-on repair skills
  • Reliable, punctual, happy working independently
  • Local to the site
  • Right to work in the UK

Hours: 2 days/week, 15-20 hrs

Pay: £14/hour
