Hintel are supporting a leading PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) operator in the recruitment of a Maintenance Operative to work across a student accommodation site in Bristol. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a broad maintenance skill set who enjoys working in a fast-paced residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance tasks
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting/decorating works
- Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution
- Completing room inspections, repairs and minor refurbishments
- Supporting health & safety compliance across sites
- Liaising with site teams and external contractors where required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman or facilities role
- Good general maintenance knowledge (multi-skilled)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Understanding of health & safety procedures (desirable)
