An ambitious, entrepreneurial property developer is entering a pivotal phase of growth. With a strong track record in traditional residential development and clear plans to expand into the operational living space, the business is building a platform designed to scale across the UK and selected European markets.

To support this next stage, the company is seeking a Head of Finance to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and act as a trusted partner to senior leadership. This is a high-impact role offering genuine influence over financial strategy, reporting and operational decision-making.

The role involves leading financial operations across a growing multi-entity, multi-project platform, working closely with the CEO, development leadership and project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Control & Reporting: Leading the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust controls, accuracy and consistency across all entities; producing monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, KPI dashboards and board-level reporting; providing clear, insightful analysis to support senior decision-making; managing statutory reporting, compliance, taxation and group consolidation across UK and European operations.
  • Business Partnering & Commercial Insight: Acting as a finance partner to senior leadership, providing insight on development performance, returns and capital allocation; supporting investment decision-making through project-level and portfolio-level analysis; working closely with development and project teams to track costs, cashflow and performance across live schemes; contributing to long-term business planning and financial strategy.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Modelling: Leading budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple projects and jurisdictions; maintaining oversight of cashflow and funding requirements as the pipeline expands; supporting financial modelling for new development opportunities and expansion into operational living assets, such as BTR, co-living, PBSA or senior living.
  • Systems, Process & Growth Support: Driving improvements to financial systems, processes and internal controls as the business scales; overseeing and developing reporting frameworks suitable for a growing, investor-focused platform; liaising with external advisors including auditors, banks, tax specialists and funding partners; providing hands-on support where required in a fast-moving SME environment.

About you: This role will suit a fully qualified accountant with experience in property development, real estate investment or a related sector, ideally within a growth-stage or SME environment. You will bring strong technical capability alongside commercial awareness, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business. Exposure to operational living asset classes - or a genuine interest in developing this expertise - will be highly beneficial.

What’s on offer: A senior finance role within a growing, entrepreneurial real estate business; close collaboration with senior leadership and real influence over financial strategy and performance; exposure to UK and European markets and a diverse, expanding development pipeline; clear scope for progression as the business scales and diversifies. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to step into a broad, influential role and help shape the financial foundations of a business entering an exciting phase of expansion.
