A high-growth, European logistics real estate platform by a leading global asset manager is seeking a Financial Controller to join its expanding finance team. This is a newly created position resulting from rapid portfolio growth and ongoing capital deployment across multiple European markets.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of financial operations across complex investment structures, driving improvements to reporting, controls, and processes while supporting continued expansion across industrial and mid-box logistics assets.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created position for a Financial Controller overseeing the outsourced administrators, managing SPVs across multiple jurisdictions, supporting transactions, and leading investor reporting. You will play a critical part in shaping the platform's financial infrastructure during an exciting phase of business scaling. You’ll work within a lean, entrepreneurial, tech-enabled environment, contributing directly to strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial and statutory reporting across multiple SPVs and fund structures
  • Manage outsourced providers preparing management accounts and IFRS financial statements
  • Lead quarterly investor reporting and stakeholder management
  • Support acquisitions and disposals, including financial due diligence and onboarding
  • Drive year-end audits for property-level and REIT structures
  • Manage liquidity forecasting and communication with investment counterparts
  • Oversee REIT compliance, covenant monitoring, and distributions
  • Support budgeting, business plan execution, and performance tracking
  • Review tax returns (Corp Tax, VAT, CIS, Net Wealth) prepared by external providers
  • Enhance systems, controls, and financial processes across the portfolio
  • Line-manage and develop a Finance Associate
  • Contribute to debt strategy, tenant covenant analysis, and hedging execution

About You

  • ACA qualified accountant preferred with 5+ years' PQE
  • Experience in private equity real estate, fund finance, or real estate investment management
  • Strong technical understanding of real estate structures, SPVs, REITs, and investment vehicles
  • Confident working with IFRS, forecasting, cashflow modelling, and investor reporting
  • Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power BI or AI-enabled finance tools is a plus
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Strong communication skills and experience managing stakeholders internally and externally
  • Previous line-management experience beneficial
