An established and growing property-focused company is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support its finance function. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with prior accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be part of a small finance team responsible for ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid on time, while supporting wider finance and operational teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and coding supplier invoices accurately
  • Managing invoice approvals and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and assisting with regular payment runs
  • Handling supplier and internal payment queries
  • Maintaining purchase ledger records and documentation
  • Supporting intercompany transactions where required
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring shared finance inboxes and urgent payment requests
  • Supporting cashflow monitoring and reporting
  • Providing general administrative support to the accounts payable team

About You

You’ll be organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You’re confident working independently but also enjoy being part of a team.

Essential requirements

  • At least 1+ year’s experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of accounting processes

Desirable

  • Experience within property, real estate, or related sectors
  • Familiarity with finance or ERP systems (e.g. Yardi, MRI, Qube or similar)
