We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join a residential development in Bicester on a freelance basis for an initial 4-5 month contract. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day delivery of the project, splitting your time between site and office-based duties. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager looking to gain further experience on a live residential scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and site progress
  • Assisting with health & safety management and site compliance
  • Coordinating trades and helping to ensure programme targets are achieved
  • Managing site paperwork, records and reporting
  • Assisting with quality inspections and snagging activities
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager on residential projects
  • Good understanding of construction processes and site operations
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in both site and office environments
  • SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent preferred
  • CSCS Card required
